The Gompti collection was woven by hand using felted wool yarns to achieve a look similar to a basket technique. Slightly mottled in colour, the yarns display varying shades to give the design depth and texture. The viscose in the design lends a little lustre to the overall look, leaving a finish that's reminiscent of granite. The rug is finished with simple fringing to round out the look. Pair with our rug underlay to keep your rug in place. Our Gompti collection is handwoven by two expert craftspeople using the wool of about two sheep. Each piece takes up to twelve hours to weave on a traditional pit loom.
