The Covilha collection was made in Portugal using a blend of linen and cotton in a sophisticated jacquard weave. Its intricate ikat-inspired design remains faithful to the ancient weaving technique thanks to its soft edges and organic lines, giving the bold, geometric motif a calmer appearance. Available in subdued hues, this collection will give your décor a worldly flair.
Thanks to its unique geographical and geopolitical position, Porto’s industry has been heavily influenced by former African colonies and Asian trade, bringing with it a wealth of knowledge and expertise using raw materials. These centuries of experience with fabrics in particular have given the region a rich textile competence renowned throughout the world, and one of the reasons we travelled there to create our Covilha collection. This collection in particular was crafted by a small outfit focusing on creating unique, high-quality fabrics.

"What does 'ikat' mean?"
"Ikat is a special weaving technique used to create patterns on fabric. It involves dying sections of the thread before it is processed and woven. This design takes design inspiration from this technique, and recreates a similar look by using an intricate jacquard weave."
