100% mango wood
Rustic charm and pretty practicality come together in the Walur Chopping Board. Hand-crafted from 100% mango wood, which is known for its density and durability, this paddle-style chopping board has been finished with a water-based sealer, and is easy to care for and clean. Whether it's used as a chopping board or a serving board for cold cuts and cheeses, the eleven centimetre handle is a practical addition to this design. Finished with a leather loop, the board can be easily hung when not in use - perfect if you opt to display this natural beauty while not in use. Thanks to the natural markings of the mango wood, each piece in the Walur collection is beautiful and unique.
Made using old mango trees that are native to Northern India, we sought local artisans who have extensive experience working with this material to create the Walur Chopping Board collection. Created according to Fairtrade standards, you can feel good about purchasing a sustainable product certified by an organisation that aims to eradicate poverty around the world.

"Is mango wood sustainable?"
"Yes, mango wood is sustainable as only those trees which no longer produce good fruit are logged. Moreover, the wood used for the Walur collection is sourced in the same region in which it is made, and so combines local knowledge and craftsmanship with local resources."
