Straw and recycled plastic
Handwoven by local women in Senegal, the Sezanne Basket is the product of generations of weaving knowledge. The Sezanne collection is crafted using straw and recycled plastic in a contrasting colour to create a traditional basket with modern appeal. Use to store scarves, gloves or belts in the bedroom, or place in the study to use as a paper bin.
The Sezanne collection is a great example of our commitment to providing homewares with heart, and knowing where each piece came from and how it was made. These baskets are handwoven by Senegalese women, who are thereby supporting their families and contributing to the development of their local communities. Made using straw and recycled plastic, this basket is sustainable and created using local resources.

Noemi ASKS:
"Is the basket suitable for wet areas?"
"Straw is light and dries quickly, making it suitable for use in the bathroom, where it may be exposed to water from time to time. Because it is a natural material, however, you should avoid constant contact with water."
