Oroya Alpaca Blanket

Dark brown, cream & beige,  135 x 175  cm

50% merino wool & 50% alpaca wool

Made from a sumptuous blend of merino and alpaca wool, the smartly striped Oroya will appeal to those looking for a bit of everyday luxury. The wool used in this collection is sourced from an ancient breed of sheep native to the Danish Faroe Islands, while the alpaca wool is from Peru, making for a beautiful blend of fabrics with an interesting origin. Made using a twill weave with alternating stripes of dark brown, cream and beige in varying widths, the versatile Oroya is finished with soft fringing along the width.

This collection is made according to the following industry certification standards:

Lightweight and durable, our Oroya Blanket stands out thanks to its unique blend of Peruvian alpaca wool and fine merino wool. Softer than a pure wool blanket, but slightly sturdier than a pure alpaca wool throw, the Oroya Blanket keeps you lovingly warm and cosy. The smart striped design and the understated hues in this collection give the blanket its sophisticated appeal.

"Why is alpaca wool so warm? "

"Alpaca wool is made up of hollow fibres which are excellent for retaining and redistributing heat. Alpaca wool is therefore suitable for very low temperatures."
