MADE WITH LOVE

Those who prefer rugs with a thick, chunky finish will love our Daya collection. Available in two earthy colours, these neutral shades are great match with most décor styles. Designed in Scandinavia, this piece is made using a thick boucle style weave, showcasing the natural thickness and roughness of jute. Appearance aside, our Daya is really special because of its eco-friendly properties: jute is an environmentally friendly fibre that doesn't require harmful pesticides or fertilizers to grow, and is completely biodegradable.

Adam ASKS:

"Is jute a suitable material for a rug? Isn't it rough?"

"Jute is a vegetable fibre that is spun into coarse, strong threads. Jute rugs are therefore rougher than cotton or wool rugs, but are extremely hardy and will withstand heavy use. Combined with a second fabric, jute can add an interesting texture to a rug, and creates a rustic, traditional look. Unlike animal fibres which remain intact, jute can sometime lose fibres; the weave will nonetheless remain strong."
